Anti-Money Laundering Policy
Why do you verify players?
Knowing our players helps keep Langley Casino safe, fair and legal. You can only play online where your local law allows it. We also follow Canadian rules on age, ID checks and anti-money laundering.
- It stops anyone under 19 from playing.
- It protects your account from fraud and stolen payment details.
- It keeps criminal money out of our casino.
- It ensures that winnings are paid to the correct person.
What happens when verification fails?
Funds can only move freely once we hold clear, matching details. If your documents are missing, unreadable or do not match your account:
- Deposits and withdrawals are paused until the issue is sorted.
- We email you to explain what is still needed.
- Accounts opened with false or borrowed details are closed.
- Bets and winnings linked to fraud are void.
- If the law demands it, we share information with the appropriate Canadian authorities.
How are my age and identity checked?
We check who you are and where you are located before you make your first deposit. Most of the time this runs quietly in the background, so there's nothing for you to do. From time to time, we may ask for documents such as:
- Photo ID: a valid passport, a driver's licence issued by a province, or a provincial identity card.
- Address: a bank statement or utility bill from the last three months that shows your account address.
- Payment: evidence that you own the card, wallet or bank account you pay with, showing only the digits we need.
Your full name, birth date and address must match across all documents. Players must be 19+.
Why do you ask where my funds come from?
When activity is larger than usual or out of the ordinary, we may have to understand the source of your funds. This is a routine check and does not suggest any wrongdoing on your part.
- An employment letter or recent payslips
- Bank statements
- Evidence of savings, an inheritance or a sale
We only ask for what is needed and treat every document in confidence.
Is my account still monitored once I have signed up?
Yes. Verification is not a one-time task. Our team monitors account activity on an ongoing basis.
- Deposits that fall outside a player's normal habits
- Money deposited and withdrawn with very little play
- Multiple accounts tied to the same individual, device or payment method
- Payment methods held in someone else's name
When something looks off, we may pause the account and get in touch by email.
Do you screen for sanctions and political exposure?
We check players against international sanctions lists. We also identify politically exposed persons (PEPs), their close associates and their relatives.
- Players on a sanctions list cannot hold an account.
- PEPs can play, but face enhanced checks and closer monitoring.
- Screening is repeated over time, not just at sign-up.
Which records are kept, and which authorities receive reports?
- Identity records, documents and transaction history are kept for the period Canadian law requires.
- Where the law requires it, suspicious and large transactions are reported to the relevant Canadian authorities.
- We cannot tell a player when such a report is filed, as the law forbids it.
- Our staff are trained to spot and escalate warning signs.
How we keep and safeguard your information is set out in our Personal Data Policy.
